Taxus x media 'Pillar'

Anglojap Yew

Plant Type:

CONIFERS

Taxus x media 'Pillar' – Similar to and faster growing than Taxus baccata 'Fastigiata' this hybrid is cloaked in medium green needles. Commonly called the Anglojap Yew (you can't make this stuff up...) the media hybrids are the cross between T. baccata and T. cuspidata and exhibit greater hardiness from the cuspidata side of the family. Fertile ground in full sun to three quarters shade. Cutting grown. For northern gardeners these are best planted during the spring window and not in autumn... for southern gardeners there are greater possibilities but know your zone and what is genuinely feasible. Please read the Genus Overview below.
